Greg T. Greenwood, President and CEO, founded HCSpecialists in 2009. His 25 years of experience both as a clinical psychologist and business executive brings a unique, comprehensive perspective to the healthcare companies, providers and plans that HCSpecialists collaborates with and supports.

Prior to founding HCSpecialists, Greg was Executive Director – Central Region with WellPoint, Inc., the largest publicly traded health benefits company in the United States. Greg had primary responsibility for the internalization of behavioral health with physical health for WellPoint’s Central Region. Greg previously served as President - Health Plan Division for ValueOptions, one of the nation’s largest managed behavioral companies, where he was responsible for overseeing all health plan business and operations throughout the country.

A recognized leader in the behavioral health sector, Greg serves on the Board of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and is a member of the Source Selection Committee to evaluate proposals submitted to the County of San Diego, Health and Human Services Agency. Greg has been a consultant to the National Advisory Mental Health Council of the National Institute of Mental Health in the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in issuing Parity in Financing Mental Health Services: Managed Care Effects on Cost, Access & Quality. Greg is also the Founder and Board Chairman of Home for the Holidays, a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to military families who do not have the means to pay for travel expenses, including transportation, food and lodging costs. After completing his doctoral studies and internship in 1984, Greg accepted a position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Indiana University School of Medicine. In 1986, Greg joined American Biodyne, Inc. (which became Magellan Health Services), a pioneer in managed behavioral healthcare, where he remained for six years. During that time, he held various positions within the company, including Vice President and Northern Regional General Manager, which he held immediately prior to joining Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas in 1992.

At Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas, Greg developed a managed behavioral health care division/subsidiary, INROADS® Behavioral Health Services, which received national recognition as the 1998 Eli Lilly and Company – National Managed Health Care Congress Behavioral Healthcare Leadership Award recipient for the private sector. When INROADS was acquired by Magellan Health Services in 1998, Greg was made President - Dallas Regional Service Center for Magellan as well as continuing in his role as Chief Executive Officer of INROADS. Greg joined ValueOptions in 2000 as Executive Vice President - Operations, prior to his promotion to the position as President of the Health Plan Division.

David K. Ries, HCSpecialists’ Vice President, Operations, provides oversight of internal operations, business development and policy initiatives. A California-licensed attorney, David serves as the company’s legal counsel and informs HCSpecialists’ outlook on healthcare reform, as expressed in numerous recent publications. To HCSpecialists’ clients, he provides assistance with documentation of regulatory and accreditation compliance.

Until 2008, David was a law clerk in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California, focusing on employment disputes, medical malpractice, Social Security disability, civil rights claims, intellectual property, and compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Prior to earning his law degree, David managed demonstration projects within New York City’s foster care and juvenile justice systems.

David received his law degree from Brooklyn Law School, where he graduated with honors and served as an editor of the school’s Journal of Law & Policy. David received his B.A. from Vassar College, in Poughkeepsie, New York.

Kristina L. Greenwood, HCSpecialists’ Vice President, Research and Development, provides oversight for all client-related projects. She has over 20 years of experience in clinical outcomes research, healthcare operations, product development, and the design of integrated care programs. Kris served in senior leadership roles with managed behavioral health organizations, including ValueOptions, Inc., American Biodyne (which became Magellan Health Services), and CORPHEALTH, Inc. (now known as LifeSynch, a Humana company).

During her tenure at Mental Health Outcomes (a subsidiary of Horizon Health Corporation), she designed healthcare outcomes measurement systems and conducted research services for pharmaceutical companies. Kris also served in an executive operations role for a large multidisciplinary behavioral healthcare group practice.

Kris is a member of the National Register of Health Service Providers in Psychology and serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Workplace Behavioral Health. Trained as a clinical psychologist, she received her B.S., M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Bowling Green State University (Ohio) and completed internship training at Indiana University School of Medicine.

Jennifer E. McDonald, HCSpecialists’ Chief Clinical Officer, specializes in best practices for development of case management and treatment delivery models. She brings over 20 years of experience in behavioral healthcare administration and consulting. Prior to joining HCSpecialists, Jennifer served in senior leadership roles for both ValueOptions and Magellan Behavioral Health. She acted as Chief Clinical Officer for ValueOptions’ Health Plan Division, where she was ultimately responsible for management of the medical loss ratio and contributed to over $40 million in savings per year. Jennifer also served as ValueOptions’ Corporate Vice President for Medical Management and as Vice President of Utilization Management for Arizona Regional Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA), where she was responsible for medical management, clinical training programs, and development of performance improvement outcomes.

Jennifer received her B.S. in Nursing from Virginia Commonwealth University, Medical College of Virginia, and her M.B.A. from Averett University in Danville, Virginia.

Lisa K. Molhusen, HCSpecialists’ Chief Finance and Operations Officer, manages all accounting, financial and human resource functions. Most recently, Lisa spent 11 years with a CPA firm in Chattanooga, Tennessee where she prepared and reviewed individual, corporate and fiduciary tax returns in addition to providing on-site project management oversight for several of the firm's larger clients. Lisa has over 10 years of experience in property and casualty insurance in Kentucky, California and Texas, where she worked for large independent agencies as a producer and accounting manager.

Lisa received her B.A. in Business Administration with a Management emphasis from Transylvania University in Lexington, Kentucky.

Michael J. Orlosky specializes in medical management. Michael previously served as Regional Vice President of WellPoint, Inc.’s behavioral health operations in the East. During his five years in that position, Michael led the expansion of behavioral health operations from a single state to a regional operation with 7.6 million enrollees in Connecticut, Maine, New Hampshire, New York, Virginia, and Georgia.

A practicing psychiatrist for 17 years, Michael received his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University, his M.D. from the University of South Florida, and his Masters of Medical Management degree from Tulane University.

Henry Perretta has 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry focused on applied information technology. Henry has strong expertise in client/server systems, internet oriented technologies, database design and application development, and health administration business processes. Previously, Henry was Senior Vice President of Information Systems at ValueOptions and has over 10 years of experience in marketing, development, and implementation roles with managed Medicaid programs in a variety of State and County models.

Henry earned a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from The Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College. He is a Fellow in the Life Management Institute and holds the Health Insurance Associate designation from the Health Insurance Association of America. Henry continues to work with Princeton on a new fellowship program in the area of public health.

Jean K. Ries’ work with HCSpecialists focuses on strategic planning, marketing and business development initiatives. Since 2006, Jean has delivered outcome-based strategy consulting services to an array of San Diego and Orange County organizations. For the past year, she has served as Executive Director of Home for the Holidays, a not-for-profit 501(c) (3) organization whose mission is to provide financial assistance to military families who do not have the means to pay for travel expenses, including transportation, food and lodging costs. Jean was Manager of Consulting Services at Fiscal Management Associates, LLC, (FMA) a New York-based private consulting firm specializing in fiscal operations and management consulting to nonprofit and for-profit entities.

Jean holds a Masters in Public Administration from New York University's Robert F. Wagner Graduate School of Public Service and received a B.A. from Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York.
